Peas and Ham with Creamy Orzo

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup orzo
  • 1/2 cups onion diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup diced ham
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • 1 Cook orzo according to package directions; drain and set aside.
    2 Sauté onion in oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat until softened, about 5 minutes. Add garlic; cook 1 minute.
    3 Stir in wine, cream, broth, peas, and ham; simmer over medium-low heat until peas are tender, 4-5 minutes. Stir in cooked orzo.
