Mama Douglas’s Thanksgiving Dressing (Stuffing)
The last stuffing/dressing recipe that you will ever want! It’s hard to believe that so few ingredients can produce such a fantastic flavor that your family will fight over.
Did you know that the difference between Stuffing and Dressing is that Stuffing is cooked inside of the bird, soaking up all of the turkey juice, producing a very moist and flavorful dish. Dressing, however is cooked in a pan, often producing a dry and ,meh, product. This Dressing recipe, however is so moist delicious and flavorful that you will never want any other dressing or stuffing again.
Mama Douglas stuffing
Ingredients
- 2 medium onions chopped
- 3/4 cups eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 8 cups bread
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup butter
Instructions
- Saute onions in butter until translucent. Add to bread crumbs. Whisk eggs and milk until combined. Add to bread crumbs and stir. Mixture will look soupy. Pour into a greased casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
