Aunt Bea’s Poultry Puffs

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pound chicken breast no skin, no bone, cooked and chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon chives
  • 1 package Crescent rolls
  • 3/4 cup croutons seasoned

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350¼. In a a bowl, blend cream cheese and two tablespoons margarine until smooth. Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk, chives, mixing well. Separate crescent roll dough into four rectangles. Firmly press perforation to seal. Spoon one-half cup poultry mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull four corners of dough to top, twist slightly and seal edges. Brush top with remaining butter. Dip in crouton crumbs. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
